Are you a First-Time Home Buyer looking to purchase in Houston and surrounding areas? Maybe you are looking to downsize or upsize from your current home? When thinking about purchasing a home for the first time in the Houston area, some questions may come to mind. This blog will address the benefits of buying a new home.  

New Home

 It is perfectly fine to purchase a resale home or a new build home, but as a First Time Home Buyer I highly encourage a new build. There are many benefits to purchasing a brand new home in the Houston, Tx area. Whether you are a First-Time Homebuyer, moving up to a larger home, or down to a smaller home, a new build may be for you.

Low Maintenance 

Buying a brand new home for the first time is considered the low maintenance way to purchasing a home. Reason being is that the home is brand new. It has never been lived in, so there is no wear and tear. There’s no need to worry about the roof being outdated or larger problems like foundation issues. If there are any defects on the home, the builder is required to fix those items. Also, most new homes come with a termed bumper to bumper warranty.  

Time Friendly

 If you have around 6 months before you make your next move, then having a home built would be ideal. It typically takes around 6 months to build a home, but depending on what stage the home is in (Slab, Frame, etc.) it can be much sooner. Also, the builder may have homes available to close today. Closing cost incentives When purchasing a home you will have to pay for the down payment and the closing cost. What are closing cost? If you are thinking about financing your home, closing cost are fees that the lender and title company charge. The great thing about most builders is that they may offer funds if you use their primary lender! Free Money! This makes the home buying process less costly.
